A round-bellied little cauldron with a happy face, three stubby legs and a cluster of bubbles floating up out of the top. This free witch cauldron coloring page is all curves — no sharp corners anywhere on the sheet.
Who this page is for
Ages 3–7. The pot itself is one big shape, and the bubbles above it are a set of easy circles that a small child can do without much steering.
Things to talk about while you color
- A real cauldron was just the family cooking pot — one heavy iron pot hung over the fire, used for everything.
- The three legs are not decoration: they hold the pot above the embers so it heats evenly.
- The bubbling green potion is a stage invention. In the old stories, what was in the pot was usually soup.
Make it an activity
Ask your child what the potion does before they choose a color, then have them color the bubbles to match the answer. A giggle potion looks different from a freeze potion.
How to print it so it looks great
Use Fit to page on A4 or US Letter. The wide belly of the pot takes a lot of ink if you use markers — here is how to stop bleed-through.
More Halloween pages to color
The cauldron belongs with the witch on her broomstick and her hat. Also simple: the ghost. Full set on the Halloween coloring pages page.
